When does the hackathon take place?

The hackathon takes place on the weekend from the 8th until the 10th of May 2020. Over 48 hours, groups will work out solutions for a challenge. The start is on Friday evening and the end is on Sunday evening.

How does a virtual hackathon work?

The hackathon takes place exclusively online. We will provide the appropriate tools so that you can work digitally. We use Slack as a communication platform for the teams and video conferences for live webinars and the daily check-ins.

Can I register as a team?

There is no registration of teams, but participants can coordinate among themselves and form a group during the hackathon.

What do mentors do?

Mentors also take part in the hackathon and support the groups with their knowledge and experience in several check-ins. Depending on expertise and availability, mentors support one or more teams.

Do groups get support during the hackathon?

Throughout the hackathon you and your team will have mentors at your side. They will support you during the 48 hours in several check-ins with their feedback and knowledge.

What can be submitted as a result?

Results can be position papers, guidelines, or first prototypes.

Do I need pre-installed software?
